Nadiya Bychkova returned to Strictly Come Dancing for 2021 and has been training BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker. The pair have been near the bottom of the leaderboard since the start of the series but have yet to face the dance off.

How tall is Nadiya Bychkova?

Bychkova, 32, is a Ukrainian-Slovenian ballroom dancer, and a two-time World Champion and European Champion in Ballroom and Latin ‘10’ dance.

This season is Bychkova’s strongest performance yet, after previously only reaching week five in 2019.

In 2020, Bychkova took a break from partnering for the show, but she has once again proved she is a dancer to be reckoned with in 2021.

Of course, many viewers already know Walker is tall, measuring in at 6ft 6in.

Despite this Bychkova always looked tall to viewers, even when stood next to Walker.

However, she is in fact an average height of 5ft 8in, making her the perfect partner for the tall journalist.

Bychkova’s previous dance partners were EastEnders’ Davood Ghadami, Blue’s Lee Ryan, and former England goalkeeper David James.

Many thought Bychkova would be out of the competition early on, with the bookies consistently betting against the pair.

Yet, they have managed to navigate the competition, proving to be this year’s ultimate underdogs.

On Instagram, the star shared her love for the support fans have given the duo this year, especially after week 10’s result of 31 points.

Bychkova wrote: “I cannot put into words how thankful I am for the support we are getting! It’s just incredible.

“Thank you to each and everyone who voted for us again, it’s the best motivation to know that people who watch the show want to see you dance another week. Thank you so much.”

The star shared how delighted she is to be able to teach Walker another dance for week 11.

Not only this, but week 11 is now the quarter-final, with only five couples left in the competition.

This week the pair will be dancing the Tango to Santa Maria by Gotan Project

Competition is fierce now, with the judges only accepting the very best from the stars.

Despite numerous hiccups on the dance floor, Walker managed to entertain the judges enough to give him the win last week.

The duo will be banking on a similar result this week, though the show is loved for its unpredictability.

Currently, John Whaite and Johannes Radebe are at the top of the leaderboard, with Bychkova and Walker down at the bottom.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.
