Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) reaches out to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, but she’s ultimately left devastated.
Daniel, as viewers will know, was taken to the station for questioning, after Max Turner (Paddy Bever) claimed that he’d abused his position as a teacher.
Max had come to believe that Daniel was sleeping with Summer, and thus he publicly accused him during the school’s Ice Ball.
Daniel was rendered speechless by the accusation, and wasted little time in defending himself, telling the head teacher Mrs Crawshaw that he has never abused his position.
Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), however, believed Daniel was lying and thus got the police involved, much to Summer’s dismay.
Summer attempted to put things right, telling her loved ones and the police that Daniel didn’t do anything wrong.
The above clip – taken from Monday’s (December 13) offering of the ITV soap -sees Summer bump into Daniel.
She apologises for what has transpired. Daniel, however, remains cold, telling her that they cannot speak to one another in the wake of recent events.
Summer, therefore, is left crushed.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday December 13 at 7:30pm on ITV.
