Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) is rendered speechless in Emmerdale next week, when Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) imposes another change in The Woolpack.

And this one is the biggest yet!

Al proposes that the ‘front of house’ staff members wear uniforms from here on out, to give the pub a new feel.

Marlon is horrified, claiming that the introduction of uniforms would strip the Woolie of its humanity in favour of a more corporate look.

Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw), however, is quite keen on the idea, and even models the bowtie. Ellis (Aaron Antony) is also in agreement.

Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) instructs Marlon to get with the programme, telling him Al knows what he’s talking about and therefore she should give him a chance.

Marlon, again, is rendered speechless.

Will Al succeed in making the uniforms a regular fixture of the Woolpack? And what’s more, is Chas starting to be won over by all of his suggestions?

Upcoming scenes will see Al make a flirtatious comment towards Chas, who tells him he’s overstepped the mark.

He’s apologetic for what he’s done, but when Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) is called away on a course, he invites Chas to a fancy meal.

The question is: what will transpire?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday November 18 at 7pm on ITV.
