Power season 6 spoilers: Angela Valdes to die in Power season 6?

Angela Valdes (played by Lela Loren) was thought to be dead at the end of the last series of Power on Starz and Netflix. The Power season six trailer, however, revealed both that Angela is still alive but she may die by the end of the Netflix/Starz show. Lela Loren has not spoken about her character’s fate, but Power showrunner Courtney Kemp has teased that season six will see a number of main characters die.

Will Angela die in Power season 6?

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Power

If the Power season six trailer is anything to go by, Angela Valdes will die in the last series of the show.

At the end of the promo, we see Ghost (Omari Hardwicke) say: “I didn’t kill Angie, I didn’t kill her.”

This is followed by a scene where Angela herself tells Ghost: “You will.”

This suggests that Ghost might have some part to play in the death of Angela in season six.

In the previous season, Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) was told that Ghost had manipulated him into killing his father Tony Teresi (William Sadler).

In retaliation, Tommy tried to shoot Ghost, but Angela stood in the way of the bullet after Ghost told her he loved her.

After that dramatic episode, Courtney Kemp told TVLine: “I can say Lela is in Season 6, but I can’t say what she’s doing.”

Speaking about their last scene together, in which Ghost lies to Angela about his role in the death of Terry Silver (Brandon Victor Dixon), she said this would have a huge impact on season six.

She said: “That’s going to be something that he has to struggle with because he made that decision to lie.

“The essence of the show has always been the very 12-step idea that you’re powerless, we’re powerless.

“We don’t have power. So Ghost lies to her in order to keep her. That was the thing.

“In order to keep the relationship, he lied. And then he’s faced with the situation moments later where he may not have been able to keep her at all, and that the last thing that he says out of his mouth is a lie.

“If I’m facing that, how much would I want to have those moments back, to tell the truth?”

Speaking to Deadline, she further teased that Ghost would have some part in Angela’s death: “In his pursuit of a certain kind of power and a certain kind of life, he can’t help but injure those around him.”

She has also teased that “no one is safe” in Power season six, meaning that Angela could be one of many who will die in the final series of Power.
