It appears Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) is prepared to be there for Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) as she starts recovery after a bipolar breakdown in EastEnders.
Recently, Stacey (Lacey Turner) struggled to make Harvey see that her mum was unwell.
Harvey believed that Jean’s fun and spontaneous attitude was just part of who she is, failing to understand how a random trip to the coast implied that she was experiencing a manic episode.
This week, Harvey finally realised that all wasn’t well in his relationship with Jean after Aaron (Charlie Wernham) was attacked in prison.
Jean wasn’t that fussed about Aaron’s injuries, which caused reality to hit Harvey.
As a new week begins, Stacey asks Martin (James Bye) for support as she plans to tell Lily about what happened to Jean in Southend.
Meanwhile, Harvey expresses his regret about what happened with Jean to Kat (Jessie Wallace), and when a panicked Stacey arrives to say her car won’t start, Harvey uses this as an opportunity and offers to take her to hospital.
Outside, Harvey senses Stacey is nervous and offers to go inside and visit Jean with her.
But how will the visit go?
Could Stacey begin to see that Harvey wants to help?
