Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) learns that his condition has worsened in upcoming Coronation Street scenes.
The landlord of the Rovers Return has been through a lot over the past couple of months.
He struggled as old acquaintance Scott Emberton (Tom Roberts) bullied and blackmailed him about a crime they comitted over 40 years ago.
Unable to keep shtum any longer, Johnny came clean — telling Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) all about their crime, and how a security guard named Grant Newsome was injured during the incident.
Jenny struggled to come to terms with Johnny’s revelation, but she ultimately did so, and agreed to support him.
With the police knowing all about his involvement in the robbery, Johnny appeared in court last month, where he was sentenced to eight months in prison.
Jenny was distraught in the aftermath of such a decision, as she feared her husband’s health would suffer given all the stress that he’s been under in recent months.
Viewers will know that Johnny has been having trouble seeing, and in the coming episodes, he discovers from the neurologist that his condition has, in fact, worsened, and therefore his MS medication is being increased.
Jenny is upset when she learns this, and Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) offers support. Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), however, is less supportive, and she reckons Jenny should leave Johnny.
One to watch: Friday February 5 at 7:30pm on ITV.
