Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) makes a huge decision in Coronation Street, as she tries to get the upper hand on Gary Windass (Mikey North) by reporting a dead body to the police.
Gary refuses to do business with Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) in the wake of the anniversary week, referring to him as a sex pest. Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) is fuming, but the former loan shark refuses to sell the factory.
Gary later heads off with David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) in an effort to track down Colin the water board engineer — who viewers will remember Ray bribed to investigate the sinkhole.
However, in spite of the builder’s seemingly good deeds, Sarah is intent on revenge.
Yes, she calls Crimestoppers and informs that she knows where a corpse is buried — and she knows who put it there!
As Gary busies himself in the furniture shop, he’s overhears news on the radio that the police are searching Beacon Woods for a body.
Meanwhile, after some encouragement from Brian Packham (Peter Gunn), Bernie Winter (Jane Hazelgrove) calls at the police station to inform them about the watch — as well as how Gary was desperate to get his hands on it!
A desperate Gary therefore confronts Sarah and accuses her of shopping him to the police.
Sarah denies doing so, but will he come to realise the truth?
One to watch: December 18 at 7:30pm on ITV.
