Stacey Solomon surprised with date night to Ikea by Joe Swash who told her to dress up for evening without the kids

STACEY Solomon hilariously revealed that boyfriend Joe Swash surprised her with a date to Ikea after telling her to dress up for an evening without the kids.

The 30-year-old took to Instagram to share the hilarity as she laughed at their "romantic" evening out and admitted she "thoroughly enjoyed" herself.

In the post, Stacey donned a chic floral dress as she held onto a large bag of Daims and faux flowers while cuddling up to Joe, 38.

Captioning the photo, she told her 3.7million followers: "Date night 🤣 I love you Joe Joe but what the heck? 🤣

"It’s honestly been such a long time since we went out just us two… And I never imagined our first date night would be a surprise night in Ikea 🙈

Adding: "But I have to admit I thoroughly enjoyed myself🤣… I do love you bubs to the moon and stars and back again. You get me 🤣 .

"Even though you instantly regretted your decision when you saw the Fejka section 🤣 I made myself a nice bouquet 💐 grabbed a basket I definitely don’t need and a giant pack of Daims.

"And now we are off to get some dinner… I’m guessing it’ll be a McDonald’s the way this nights going 🤣🤣🤣

Concluding: "Thank you bub. Happy Friday everyone… I hope you’re all ok! Love you lots, always 🤍".

Many of Stacey's followers rushed to complement the couple about their relationship with several branding them "a breath of fresh air".

Her post comes days after Stacey opened up about her sex life with Joe and said the pair sometimes had stretches where they went without it.

Speaking on Loose Women, she said the couple, who share a one-year-old son called Rex, had periods where they were "too knackered" for sex.

Asked by host Christine Lampard if she could "live without intimacy", Stacey replied: "I think only if it's mutual.

"Sometimes in our relationship there's periods of time when your children are really young or when life is really frantic or mental.

"Or when something really sad is happening in your life where you might go for periods of time without it.

"I think if you're both on the same page, like some nights me and Joe lay down next to each other, we have a look and we go 'Nah – sod that.'

"But we both mutually feel the same way. Do you know what I mean? We just think: 'It's not going to happen.' We're knackered.

"But if he really wanted it or I really wanted it and one of us didn't, that would be something really difficult to live with."

Dad-of-two Joe and mum-of-three Stacey revealed they were dating in 2016, going on to host the I'm A Celeb spin-off show together later the same year.

They moved in together in 2018 and revealed they were expecting a baby the following year. Their son Rex was born in May 2019.
