On this week’s The Bold and the Beautiful odds & ends news roundup, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood reflects on her soap opera journey. Plus, Alley Mills takes to the stage for her first post-B&B role. And soap opera stars turn out in full force to watch one of their own walk down the aisle!
The soap opera stars were out in full force at Chad Duell & Courtney Hope’s wedding
When Chad Duelle of General Hospital walked down the aisle with Courtney Hope of The Young and the Restless, the soap opera stars came out in full force. The couple, who chose to have a “Victorian”-themed wedding, invited many of their past and present cast members. And stars from The Bold and the Beautiful also turned up.
According to Soap Opera Network, all of the top-tier cast members turned up to support their friends. Scott Clifton, Annika Noelle, Katherine Kelly Lang, and Jacqueline MacInnes wood were just a few of the many in attendance.
But other stars from other soap operas turned up, too. Laura Wright, Maurice Benard, and Eden McCoy were just a few of the many General Hospital stars that turned up. And Tracey Bregman and Hunter King from The Young and the Restless were also on the guest list.
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood reflects on her journey on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’
For many years, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood has been delighting The Bold and the Beautiful fans as Steffy Forrester. Recently, she sat down with Soap Opera Digest to reflect on her soap opera journey. And she said that playing Steffy has taught her a lot of things about herself, too.
“The one thing I learned was not to be hard on myself,” she told the outlet. “Because we all make mistakes. We all mess up. And I can’t keep looking outside for validation. It’s just not who I am. I just have to focus on the work and keep it moving.”
She also revealed that she’s friends with Scott Clifton off-set and that she’s very close with his wife, Kelly, as well. But she also revealed that Steffy and Liam may not have had their final curtain call. “[Steffy] always thought she was going to be with Liam,” she said. “[And] maybe that’s because she just doesn’t have him figured out.”
Alley Mills takes the stage
Finally, Alley Mills has booked a post-The Bold and the Beautiful job off-Broadway. Deadline is reporting that she’s reuniting with Dan Lauria — who played her husband on the original The Wonder Years — for a play called “Morning’s at Seven.” She’ll be replacing Judith Ivey, who recently suffered an injury and can no longer fill her duties.
“We are thrilled to have Alley Mills join our Morning’s At Seven family,” said producer Julian Schlossberg in a statement. “In the theatre, anything can happen, and often does. When the production suddenly lost Judith Ivey due to a leg injury, we delayed our opening to accommodate the sudden change in cast.”
We love to see The Bold and the Beautiful cast members staying booked and busy!
