Andrew, Rosie, Ben and Mali were the four budding quizzers hoping to pocket some cash on The Chase this evening. However, in order to do so, they’d have to outsmart Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha. And it was Andrew from Northumberland who was first up to try and make it back to the Final Chase – although it was his plans for any winnings which caught the eye of Bradley.
Andrew impressed with his cash-builder performance before taking on Paul, racking up £8,000.
But Bradley was more concerned with what he had planned for the money if he were to take it home after having a chat Andrew before he faced the questions.
“I’m a teacher, I teach philosophy,” Andrew told Bradley before the ITV host asked what his other hobbies were.
The Chase played replied: “I like going to football and I keep bees as well, Brad.”
Giggling at the unique pastime, Bradley asked how many bees Andrew tended to.
“Tends to be about 50,000 in summer,” Andrew said. “And 1,000 in the winter – they die off.”
Bradley went on to quiz Andrew on his plans for the money and it turned out bees were still on the player’s mind.
“I would like to buy another two hives, but my wife has it earmarked for something else.”
Bradley feigned his surprise that Andrew’s wife may not be too keen on the hives.
And when Andrew revealed his wife wanted a kitchen instead, Bradley jokingly let loose.
He ranted: “Why would you buy a kitchen when you could buy some hives?”
“Kate (Andrew’s wife), get a grip on your life!”

Andrew and Bradley shared a laugh at the outburst before he took on Paul.
And sadly for Andrew, it looks like he’ll have to wait a bit longer to get his hands on the two hives he desired.
Despite impressing with his cash-builder, Paul caught Andrew before he could make it back to the Final Chase.
However, fans at home were quick to comment on the moment with their own thoughts on the debate and Bradley’s funny side.
One said on Twitter: “Andrew, you need to tell your wife to s**g off! YOU applied to be on #TheChase, so YOU get to do whatever YOU want with YOUR winnings!”
While a second added: “Bradley Walsh is very funny isn’t he? Hilarious and very original I might add #TheChase.”
“Bradley! On one tonight [laugh emoji] loving the hives! Poor Kate #TheChase,” tweeted a third.
The Chase continues weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
