The Chase fans ‘obsessed’ as they spot the celeb link between players’ names

The Chase viewers were left "obsessed" with the contestants names during tonight's show on ITV.

Fans couldn't help but rush to Twitter within minutes of host Bradley Walsh introducing the show and then the four contestants taking on the Chaser today.

Bradley introduced viewers to the panel which consisted of Ginger, Roger, Fred and Alistair.

The contestants were also stood so that their names would appear as so on their signs.

And viewers were quick to compare their names to the the famous dancing duo Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

Viewers immediately rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One tweeted: "Loving how they’re choosing contestants with names that make something else on The Chase Ginger, Roger, Fred & Alistair #thechase."

A second wrote: "Another better on #thechase ginger Rogers and fred Alistair."

"the chase setting up these names… i can't Ginger, Roger, Fred and Alistair #TheChase," commented another viewer.

One more gushed: "Fred and Ginger?! They do this on purpose I’m telling you now #TheChase."

The panel also made the discovery themselves and discussed it between them as they giggled.

Chaser Jenny Ryan then pointed to the panel and pointed it out to a confused Bradley who couldn't understand why everyone was laughing

Bradley then gasped: "Wow, I get it. The names, incredible."

Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers were dance partners in a total of 10 films.

They were first paired together in the 1933 movie Flying Down to Rio.

Fred died on June 22, 1987, at the age of 88.

Ginger died on April 25, 1995, aged 83.
