The Handmaid’s Tale is based on the dystopian novel of the same name by author Margaret Atwood. The series follows the journey of Offred, real name June Osborne, (played by Elizabeth Moss) as she rebels against the Gilead Government, helping the revolution grow stronger in fighting against its laws. Fans have been excited to find out what happens next ever since the third series ended in summer 2020.

Offred was devising a plan to get the children out of Gilead and safely transport them to Canada on a plane.
She was faced with a Gilead guard who she shot in the face before taking a bullet to the shoulder during the rescue mission.
Herself and other members of the movement Mayday ensured the children got on the plane but fans are unaware of the extent of Offred’s injury.
All will be revealed soon enough though as season four has almost arrived.
When is the UK release date for The Handmaid’s Tale season 4?
Season four of The Handmaid’s Tale is well underway for viewers in America.
The series has been airing weekly on Freeform and Hulu the day after since Wednesday, April 28.
The eighth episode of series four is scheduled to air in the States tonight, Wednesday, June 1.
While the UK is behind, fans won’t have to avoid spoilers for much longer.
Channel 4 announced that the previous seasons would be ready to watch on May 31.
As well as this, the broadcaster gave fans something else to get excited about.
Taking to the official Channel 4 Twitter account, a tweet read: “Blessed be the fruit! Series 1-3 of #HandmaidsTale will be available to stream as a box set on All 4 from 31 May.
“Catch up on Offred’s story so far before the brand new fourth series arrives on Channel 4 in June!”

An exact release date for season four in the UK hasn’t been announced.
But at the most, it will only be a matter of weeks before The Handmaid’s Tale’s latest series premieres in this country.
Series four is going to be made up of 10 episodes in total.
A trailer is now ready to watch, giving fans a taste of what’s to come.
In the promo, Nick Blaine (Max Minghella) is seen asking around for Offred but a Martha tells him that he is “better off without her” as “everyone that helps her ends up on the wall”.
Meanwhile, Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) is seen talking to someone about Offred, telling them to “find her and bring her to me” with bruises all over her face.
Offred continues to run from the law as she has become enemy number one in Gilead but will she be able to bring down the system?
The Handmaid’s Tale is available to watch on Hulu, Freeform and Channel 4.
