The Love Island stars were chatting in the kitchen earlier this week when Tom shared details of Anthony Joshua’s fight against Andy Ruiz Jr, which he lost, and Tommy’s reaction was priceless.
Tom asked: “What did you think of Joshua’s collapse the other day?”
“What?” Tommy simply replied clearly uncertain as to what his fellow islander was talking about.
Tom quickly realised the islanders didn’t know what had happened in the fight as he exclaimed: “Oh s**t.”
“What? Oh please,” Tommy said begging Tom to reveal the details of his fight. “Did he lose?”
Tom flashed a smile at the boxer who was clearly thrilled with the news.
He gasped: “F**k off! F**k off!” before walking off while holding his head in his hands.
Still in shock, he continued: “Oh my God! I don’t believe it.”
Tom explained: “I just assumed you guys would have seen it.”
“What? How would we have seen it?” Molly-Mae Hague asked him. “We don’t even know what time it is Tom.”
Tommy was still bouncing around excitedly as Molly probed: “Why is that such a good thing?”
But the 20-year-old ignored her as he was keen to get more details from Tom about the fight.
Viewers were quick to comment on Tommy’s reaction, with one tweeting: “Lol Tom giving news to Tommy about Anthony Joshua’s fight and watching Tommy’s reaction is killing me lol #LoveIsland.”
Another added: “@LoveIsland Tom told Tommy that Anthony Joshua lost his last fight. Just imagine if Anthony Joshua entered the #LoveIsland villa and coupled up with Yewande.”
It was recently revealed why islanders are rarely shown in the swimming pool.
Last night was the first time this season the islanders had been seen splashing around with Amber Gill and Michael Griffiths enjoying some time together cooling off.
But it’s very rare the islanders are seen in the pool and there is a very good reason for this.
A spokesperson for Love Island told Express.co.uk: “No reason other than it’s not possible to show everything that happens in the villa.”
In tonight’s instalment which shows Unseen Bits, the islanders were seen having a swimming competition to help pass the time.
Love Island continues Sunday on ITV2 at 9pm.
