Zack Snyder's 300 Is Getting A 4K UHD Rerelease

One of the biggest films of the ’00s is getting a new home release in 4K Ultra High Definition for the first time. Director Zack Snyder’s 300 will be arriving in the format on October 6, and the 4K UHD release could make you feel like you’re standing right next to the Spartans. That means that you, too, could fight in the shade as arrows blot out the sun.

300 4K UHD is loaded with special features from the original release, coming in at more than three hours of content, including commentary from director Zack Snyder. None of the included materials are new for this release though. However, the movie is getting some fancy new box art.

300 is based on the Frank Miller graphic novel of the same name. Starring Gerard Butler and Lena Headey, the story follows King Leonidas and the Spartans as 300 of their bravest soldiers take on a massive Persian army led by Xerxes.

The film was a massive success, as the film which had a reported budget of $65 million grossed $456 million globally. The 2014 followup 300: Rise of an Empire also did well during its theatrical run grossing $337 million worldwide on a reported $100 million budget.

Below, you’ll find all the special features for the 4K UHD and Blu-ray combo release. Additionally, Resident Evil is getting a 4K upgrade as well.
