Four Brits stabbed and another arrested as Magaluf strip breaks out in violence

Four Brits have been stabbed in Magaluf after violence broke out on the Punta Ballena party strip.

One of the victims managed to chase down the alleged attacker, also thought to be British, and hold onto him before Civil Guard and local police arrived.

He was then taken into a patrol car in handcuffs while ambulances tended to those injured.

A friend of one of the victims could be overhead shouting at the suspect: ‘I hope you didn’t do it because if you did you’re in trouble brother, you’re in trouble.

‘That’s my friend, you stabbed my friend, my friend’s in hospital.’

One local report said the victims alleged the suspect had taken their mobiles and wallets along with two street sellers he was working with.

A Civil Guard source confirmed a British man, 25, was arrested on suspicion of stabbing four people.

He said he was not aware of the involvement of any street sellers.

Officers stated that early indications suggested the man arrested was under the influence of drink and drugs, but had acted without any apparent motive.

He is expected to appear in court over the weekend, or on Monday, the latest.

The four stab victims were taken to hospital but their injuries were described as ‘non-serious’.
