Man, 29, and woman, 21, charged with murder of 10-month-old boy killed on Christmas Day

A MAN and woman have been charged with murdering a ten-month-old baby boy killed on Christmas Day.

Police were scrambled to a home in Chesterfield, Derbys, in the early hours of December 25 last year to reports the tot was unresponsive.

Finley Boden was rushed to hospital but sadly couldn't be saved and was declared dead shortly after.

Stephen Boden, 29, and Shannon Marsden, 21, have been charged with murder and two counts of neglect.

The pair appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court this morning.

They were remanded in custody to next appear at Derby Crown Court on January 4.

Derbyshire Police said: "Two people have been charged in connection with the death of a baby in Chesterfield.

"Paramedics were called to a house in Old Whittington in the early hours of Christmas Day 2020, to reports that a ten-month-old boy was unresponsive.

"The baby, Finley Boden, was taken to hospital but was sadly pronounced dead.
