A serial paedophile math teacher who abused children at schools across the UK died after choking on his breakfast in prison, an inquest heard.
Sick John McKno, 74, was a serial child abuser who was jailed in 2016 for gross indecency, indecent assault and serious sexual assault.
All of his five victims were boys, four under 16, and one under 14.
McKno was in the fifth year of his 14-year sentence when he died at Norwich Prison on 29 September 2020.
An inquest into his death, held at Norfolk Coroners' Court, heard McKno suffered from "cardiac failure" after choking on his prison breakfast, the BBC reported.
The inquest jury concluded McKno, who had a number of health conditions, died through misadventure.
McKno, who was a math teacher, abused the children at schools in Suffolk, Devon and Worcestershire schools in the 1970s and 80s.
After McKno pleaded guilty, one of his victims – who was 52 years old during the trial said the teacher had ruined his childhood.

His victim told the court: "In the beginning McKno came across as a very nice teacher, a fair teacher and I did well in maths.
"I can't go into too much detail but I was abused, which ruined my childhood and my trust of teachers, although it only happened once.
"I was scared, kept myself to myself and shut my mouth."
Another, at an Ipswich school, said he slept in fear with "one eye open" because of McKno's abuse.
